Strawberry Staircase Forever

In just a few short weeks - there will be delicious strawberries cascading from the southside spiral staircase of the centre block!!

Please feel free to help yourself whenever you see them.

Oh....... and watch out for the scrumptious tomatoes coming all along the canal soon!

I was wondering what they were on the staircase. What a delicious idea!

Mmmmmmmmmm

I can't wait. How much longer before the strawbs appear?

What abot some delicious baby plum tomatoes? Or some runner beans? Baby pumpkins? We can sort our entire Sunday lunch out by simply popping out to the spiral staircase!!

Nice one.

Hi Gerry

That sounds good! I will hunt around for some cheap seeds for us to plant.

I think it will be so good for us all to just pop out of our homes & snip off a few tomatoes or squashes for lunch. Plus - we will get some more greenery & a few flowers on the stairs.

I will let you know how we get on

Hi Gerry

We've just planted some sweet plum tomatoes & runner beans into propogator pots.

So they should be ready in a couple of weeks to be re-planted into re-cycled milk bottles.

If I give you a shout - will you please give us a hand when we put them up?

The flowers (Busy Lizzies & Geraniums) are doing quite well in these re-cycled milk bottles.

But the Strawberries are looking a bit sad. It could be that it's just the very hot weather of late - but it also could be that they need more water than the flowers.

I am not a gardener - so I don't know about these things.

Anyone got an ideas?
